For Advocates

Become an Arbitrator

What is arbitration?

Arbitration is a legal way of resolving a dispute outside court. Both sides place their case before an independent arbitrator, who hears them and decides the matter. The decision — the award — is binding, and under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 it can be enforced like a decree of a court.

On Problex247 the whole proceeding is online: notices go out by email, SMS and WhatsApp, hearings happen over video, and orders and awards are generated on the platform and signed with your e-signature and e-stamp.

Who can apply

  • An advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council
  • At least 15 years of practice
  • A computer or smartphone with internet and a camera — verification and hearings are online
  • No earlier arbitration experience is needed — we train you

Keep these ready

  • Bar Council enrolment number
  • ID proof, Aadhaar and PAN
  • Your stamp and signature (scanned)
  • Your address with pincode
